Médiamétrie Debuts ‘4-Screen’ Measurement

French audience researcher Médiamétrie has begun delivering monthly figures for TV and video viewing across four screens – TV, computer, smartphone and tablet – both as an integrated figure and split out by screen.

The new monthly service was rolled out this month, following the launch of daily 4-screen figures in April, according to www.broadbandtvnews.com . Data includes real-time and delayed viewing of all television programmes tagged using the eStat Streaming system.

Laurent Battais, Executive Director of Médiamétrie, said the analysis would show the power of video on Internet screens. An estimated three million people in France watch television on the Internet via one of the three screens other than TV itself.

The firm, which two months ago took a 52% stake in programme analysis specialist TAPE Consultancy via its audience analysis division EurodataTV Worldwide, is online at www.mediametrie.com.
