Hybrid TV measurement presentation wins TV & Video award

In the summer, the Swiss TV market switched to a hybrid measurement system integrating return-path data from digital set-top boxes into the existing TAM panel. This enabled Swiss TV research to measure the highly fragmented TV viewing in a granular and stable way without significant increases in costs.

The preparation and implementation of the launch of this service met with some challenges when switching to such a hybrid TAM system, and these were shared with delegates to this year’s asi International Television & Video Conference in Nice. In the unanimous opinion of the judges for the 2022 Tony Twyman Award for TV & Video, the presentation by Mediapulse AG’s Mirko Marr  showcased the extent to which this annual conference brings together professionals willing to share their experiences when faced with common problems.
