2020 International Conferences cancelled but virtual events planned

We are sorry to announce that we will not be holding the International Radio & Audio and Television & Video Conferences this year as we are not convinced it will be practical or safe to do so for many who would wish to attend.

We regret this very much, not least because we know there is a great deal that is being learned through these difficult months that colleagues will be eager to share.

We are planning a series of virtual events in early November to facilitate knowledge sharing and will make details available nearer the time.

In the meantime, we have been conducting a series of interviews with research companies involved in audience measurement to discuss with them the difficulties they have encountered maintaining their services throughout this period. You can listen to interviews with Rolf Müller of GfK, with Andy Brown of Kantar Media and Toni Petra of Nielsen Media. We also interviewed Justin Sampson, CEO of BARB, and we will be publishing the views of others responsible for the TV and radio currencies around the world in the next week or so.

We are very sad not to be seeing many of our friends and colleagues this year but we’ll be looking forward to putting together the next event and seeing everyone in November 2021!
