Your questions answered

Who can apply?
Please see Guidelines (above).

When do the conferences take place?
The 2026 conferences will be held in Venice from Wednesday 4th to Friday 6th November – if you are considering entering, you must ensure you hold the dates in your diary!

When will entrants be notified if they have been successful?
asi will review all submissions and respond to applicants in June 2026, when a shortlist will be announced. The final winner will be notified by the end of July 2026.

Does the submission have to fit a specific theme?
No. Beyond the entry criteria and the guidelines, we are looking for as broad a range of current topics and themes as possible. The conferences themselves are arranged in sessions thematically throughout the three days. Should your paper be selected, asi will ensure your presentation is programmed into the most logical fit within the agenda. You can discover previous agendas here.

How long does the presentation need to be?
You should aim for a maximum of 10 minutes – less is more! – and there will be time secured following your presentation for questions. It is important that in receiving the award you are able to present and take questions afterwards. We will be happy to support you in preparing for this.

Can I present client work?
Yes, in fact we support client work, although we ask that you only present client work that you have been actively engaged or involved in. Please ensure before you submit that you have the client’s permission to use their data/insights and that there is no NDA or IP infringement in presenting this. Please remember anonymised client case studies or data without labelling are not accepted.

Can I present data from my company?
Yes, although please do bear in mind that the content needs to lean heavily on the methodology, application and/or the approach, findings and ideally the impact. Corporate thought leadership, key messages, etc., should not be included!
